Flunking Motherhood?

Feeling lost? Alone?

You love your kids. REALLY love them. But this Working Mom thing is HARD.
(It’s okay to admit it. Really!)

You’ve read the books and the blogs and watched the TED Talks — all to give your kids a better life than you had.

But the GUILT is overwhelming.

You’re working all day AND all night.
Doing everything A+ moms do — Pinterest crafts, bento box lunches … Making unicorn EVERYTHING

but you’re barely scraping by with a C.

You’re trying your best, but it’s not good enough.

IT’S NEVER GOOD ENOUGH!

Maybe you’re just not cut out for this.

What if YOU ARE?

<<< These are YOUR MONKEYS. This is YOUR CIRCUS. >>>

Whether you work to pay the bills or because you love what you do, you deserve to feel good about it — NOT guilty.

I believe every working mom can feel like a great mom when she receives the support she needs to become confident in the choices she’s making.

There are days I get down on myself because people always have something to say about what I’m doing or why. … Your blog tells me to focus just on what God has placed in my heart to do.

The Promise

Imagine waking up one day and finally feeling confident in the choices you’re making. No guilt. No fear.

Imagine partnering with other moms just like you — who juggle kids and work and all sorts of competing wants and needs. Other moms who wonder
Could I do this?
Should I do this?
and sometimes, even “Do I want to do this?

Whatever your “this” may be.

You don’t need to do what everyone else does to be a great mom. And you certainly don’t need to pretend you’re someone you’re not.

YOU JUST NEED TO BE YOU.

Hi. I’m Tonya.

Call me Yoda, Morpheus, The Oracle — pick your favorite sci-fi fantasy and insert me there.

Not because I’m all-knowing, but because I SEE YOU.

As a new mom, I was caught up in the diaper wars, feeding wars, mommy wars and tantrums. Most days, I wanted to scream, but I didn’t have the energy. So I just cried. I was overwhelmed by guilt and fear. I wanted to be better, but I wasn’t equipped. And that was just at home. At work, the pace didn’t slow just because I had a helpless human competing for my sleep-deprived attention. I was still expected to be and do everything like I did before I had kids, but it was too much. So I quit. I thought I could only be a good mom if I was an at-home mom.

But that didn’t work either. I was at a loss.

I wanted my kids to have a better childhood than I had, but I was terrified I was screwing them up as I muddled through motherhood.

Once I realized that the grass wasn’t greener on the other side, I saw through the lies I had been believing. The mommy wars were a smokescreen, taking advantage of insecurities caused by unrealistic external pressures. It wasn’t about working or not working. It was about approaching motherhood with confidence, regardless of circumstances.

My confidence grew when I stepped out of my isolated bubble and sought the support of other moms. Seeing them in action and learning what worked for me (and what didn’t) taught me to trust my instincts.

I went from feeling like Mom Zero to Mom Hero. Now I want the same for you.

I’m committed to helping other moms BREAK FREE from these same insecurities.

I want you to EMBRACE YOUR STRENGTHS and finally believe that your best is enough.

I’d love to help you feel good about your choices so you can do great things at home and at work.

Thank you for showing me the gap between what I expect and what is possible for my family. After working with you, my frustration level is much lower and I feel a deeper connection with my kids.
