Christmas is a chaotic time for me. Work schedules, school schedules and the typical hustle and bustle of the holiday season leave me rocking back and forth in a corner, pleading for it all to end.
Not this year.
Thanks to the Clutter-Free Christmas Challenge I started last month with my dear friend, Kathi Lipp, this year is different. And that got me to thinking. What if, instead of Christmas chaos, we focused on Christmas kindness? What would our world look like then? What or who could we change?
The only way to find out is to jump in with both feet!
Today, we’re launching a 3-Day Christmas Kindness Challenge. When you participate, you’ll get an email from me each day with a video explaining the day’s challenge and some practical ways to implement it in your life. At the end, you’ll get a bingo board to keep the kindness going. Complete the bingo board by Dec. 22 and you’ll get entered to win a prize from me! It pays to pay it all forward.
This isn’t your average challenge. It’s not about doing big, show-stopping gestures that get you on TV or go viral on Facebook. This is about sharing the best parts of who you are with the world around you. Some gestures are small, some are a little bigger but all of them have the potential to make a huge impact on the lives you touch this holiday season.
Join me and together, we’ll spread kindness like glitter throughout the month of December. I can’t wait to see the ripple effect of your efforts. Invite a few friends to join you in the challenge – and you increase your impact exponentially. Let me know you’re up for the challenge by commenting below and spreading the word via social media using #XmasKindess. I can’t wait to see the ripple effect of your efforts. I’m in!
Woot! I can’t wait to see what you do!
Ok! Kindness sounds good! Will do my best to follow along! ?
I’m so excited to have you along for the ride. It’s going to be a fun one.
I took your suggestion, Tonya, and wrote out my sticky notes before leaving the house this afternoon. I stuck notes to cars in Costco’s parking lot first. I felt a little intimidated as people were looking at me who were not the owners of the cars. Maybe they thought I had bumped the car and was leaving my name and insurance number. Nobody questioned me regarding my actions.
I next left notes at Panera both inside on a few empty tables and outside on a garbage can. My notes asked people to think about what they should by grateful for and wishing them Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas. This was a very easy way to spread seasonal cheer.
Wow! I bet Costco’s parking lot looked great by the time you were done. I love how you sprinkled kindness like glitter everywhere you went today!
